How To Generate Money On Hubpages

Hubpages | Source

In this article I will be very blunt and to the point. You can make money on hubpages but it will take a great deal of time, effort and dedication. When you start on hubpages you will not make much, possibly for months. You must be diligent and put up hubs everyday. You must be involved in the hubpage community and answer questions, view others hubs and keep coming back with a lot of activity.

They always say for writers to write what they know and on hubpages it is as true as with stories, novels, etc. Find your niche, the subjects that interest you can make great articles if you really work on it. Take something you truly enjoy and make it into something others can enjoy as well.

In my experience I have found that people respond to things they can relate to. Writing a hub about an injustice and what you feel about it can gain a lot of comments and opinions but primarily help you build a following that often agree with what you are doing. Charing a common problem like recurring headaches or the lose of a loved one can also garner a lot of readership. People want to be made to feel that they are not alone in this life and that they are not the only ones feeling and dealing with these types of things.

Comments I can say about hubpages system are as follows: You Hubber number and the number on your hubs is key to success on Hubpages. Things that will increase your hubber number are: Writing hubs everyday, commenting on others hubs, replying to comments on your hubs, hopping hubs and writing hubs that interest many people. The hub number on each hub depends on the popularity of your subject and what they general population on hubpages think of your article. Write it professionally and chose something you know people want to read by thinking about what you want to read.

Also combine your interests if you have a youtube channel where you make a specific type of video, a website that showcases your art, have a job that is of interest write a hub on it. If the hub has some genuine appeal to it and is written well it can help you gain traffic to your videos or draw more attention to your art.

Steer clear of one time subjects as much as possible. A lot of people will write reviews on film or albums that have just been released of are about to be. Even I have done it. This can give you a lot of views initially but once the the album or film loses steam so does your hub. The idea with hubpages is to create a following over time where even months after writing a hub you still have at least a few views a day on each hub. This won't happen with hubs about subject matter that is no longer relevant after a given time.

Sometimes you may feel like writing a rant or politically, socially or otherwise charged hub. This is OK but don't make it every hub. Remain neutral in your replies to someone leaving a comment. If others have strong opinions that are in opposition of yours let them know that even if you don't agree with them that you respect their opinion and still want to hear it. The comments section of the hub is meant to be a discussion and shouldn't just be one sided. If you don't want to hear opposing views you should remove the comments section from your hub.

If you want to forward this article to others I encourage it. Use the facebook, twitter or Google+1, link at the top of the page or click the share button at the bottom of the page for other social networks. Someone you know may find this of interest.
