Very Large Objects

Updated on June 13, 2012

This article primarily follows the same theme. Anything large and obscure you may find it here. From a large (very large) plastic yellow duck to a Ginger Bread house that you could literally live inside you'll be amazed. At the very least your bound to find something that will make you chuckle.

I hope to expand this into a small series of hubs as I have many of these pictures of unusually sized objects. Check back and often as you never know when Very Large Objects part 2 may rear it's ugly head!

GINGERBREAD HOUSE

This ginger bread house constructed in the second larges mall in the United States stands a grand 67 feet high. To construct this behemoth ginger bread house more than 42,000 pounds of ginger bread was required. Thousands of candy canes and many other ingredients were used in it's construction as well. The house is 1496 square feet and was constructed in the mall of america!

DUCKIE

This huge plastic duckie was created in France for an art festival celebrating the art of many contemporary artists. Made primarily from PVC plastic this creation got quite a few stares and it's picture was featured in many magazines and articles.

The duck stands 85 feet in height. Just what you could really do with this duck after the festival is over I'm not sure. I suppose if you were to rent a spot large enough for a yacht down at the marina you'd be fine.

SKATEBOARD

This huge skateboard, the world's largest, was recently taken to the park so that people could try it out. It is much like riding a bus chasis around the hills. In this video you can see how one guy takes a wipe out on this enormous board. But it was better than if he had stayed on though.

PEN

Known as India's pen this large pen weighs 40 kilograms and is 16 feet long. The pen was created as a testament to the Indian law making education a right in their country.

It currently holds the world record for the largest working writing utensil. The creator can be seen holding the pen in the picture.

SCISSORS

These mammoth sized scissors are also another Indian creation which beat the previous record held by a Canadian who created the largest scissors. The scissors were used at an opening to an event and used to cut the ribbon to open the ceremony.

The scissors are of course fully functional.

SAND CASTLE

Originally Myrtle Beach held the record for the largest sandcastle but was beat out by Virginia Beach the made theirs a bit bigger taking the record. But the castle has since been rebuilt as pictured and is now by far the largest sand castle.
